There are a number of national and international Parkinson’s organisations that can help you and many of these have websites that you might find helpful – see PD resources on Rewrite Tomorrow for some suggestions.
They offer reliable and practical advice for you, your family and carers, as well as other resources such as books, DVDs and CDs.
Many people also find that joining a support group can be really helpful. They can offer the opportunity to meet other people with Parkinson’s in your area, to share experiences and take part in enjoyable activities. Your doctor will be able to provide you with details of your nearest local support group.
Details of European and international Parkinson's organisations can be found on the EPDA main website:
For an extensive list with links to other helpful organisations, including support groups and medical sites, see PD resources.
